This sweet and savory side dish is a perfect addition to any meal that everyone loves and is ready in minutes!
INGREDIENTS Young carrots Water Brown sugar Butter Salt & Black pepper
PREP TIME: 5 minutes COOK TIME: 15 minutes
Rinse and peel the carrots, then remove the greens from the tops and discard them. I left some greens for color, but you can remove them completely if you prefer.
Slice the carrots in half lengthwise to make it easier to cook them evenly. If using traditional tiny baby carrots, you may not need to do this step.
Over low heat, add the carrots, water, butter, and brown sugar and simmer for 5 to 6 minutes until the carrots are mostly tender.
Increase the heat to high and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and the liquid has evaporated.
