A delicious calzone filled with rich butter chicken and sauce is a great take on two classic dishes!
INGREDIENTS Yeast, water, sugar, flour, salt, olive oil, chicken breasts, curry spices, tomato sauce, milk, heavy cream, and butter.
Prepare the dough as directed, then knead and place in an oiled bowl to rise until double in size. Approximately 1 hour in a warm space in the kitchen.
Marinated the chicken in herbs as directed. Then cook in oil in a skillet until the chicken is cooked through.
To the chicken, add heavy cream, milk, and butter. Stir this until it is combined, then let it simmer until thickened. Remove the chicken from the sauce.
Punch down the dough and then divide into 2 pieces. Roll each piece out into a large circle. Then, top onn e half of each circle with chicken and cheese.
Fold the dough over to cover the chicken, then crimp all of the edges. Brush the tops with sauce, then bake as directed. Brush additional sauce on the calzones and continue baking.
Serve these calzones with extra butter chicken sauce, or a side of plain yogurt for dipping. Sprinkle with fresh chopped cilantro before serving for added flavor.
