Butter Vegetable Oil Brown sugar Granulated sugar Eggs Vanilla extract Flour Cocoa powder Salt Bittersweet chocolate chunks
Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 50 minutes
In a large bowl, combine the butter, oil, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat for 5 minutes until pale yellow and frothy.
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet being careful to not overmix the batter.
Fold in the chocolate chunks, then pour the batter into a prepared baking pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
