Whip up a batch of delicious apple fritters for breakfast or a sweet glazed treat!

INGREDIENTS

Apples, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, nutmeg, ginger, sugar, eggs, milk, butter, and vanilla extract. For glaze: powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk.

Skip the donut shop and make homemade apple fritters in just 30-minutes!

Peel, core, and dice the apples into 1/2" or smaller pieces. 

Prepare the apples:

Add the apples to a bowl with lemon juice to prevent browning then set them aside. 

Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract.

Prepare the dough:

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices. 

Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined. 

Prepare fritter batter:

Then fold the apples into the dough. 

Scoop dough into hot oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden then drain on paper towels. 

Fry apple fritters:

Whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together to create glaze.

Once the fritters have cooled, drizzle with glaze then serve!  Delicious served warm!
