A simple homemade dough is filled with cooked seasoned beef.  Top with an egg yolk and additional dough then fried until golden!

INGREDIENTS

Dough: flour, salt, egg, water Filling: ground beef, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder. Green onions to top & oil for frying.

MEAT & EGG STUFFED PANCAKE

3 pancakes

45 minutes

Season to taste or use different ground meats for unique flavors!

In a large bowl mix flour, salt, egg, and water until a dough forms. 

Mix the dough:

Knead the dough:

On a clean surface knead for 4 to 6 minutes then rest for 30.

Cook the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until no pink remains.  Drain any excess grease and set aside to fill the dough.

Prepare the filling:

Knead the dough for 3 minutes more, then roll out into a rectangle. 

Roll out the dough:

Use a cookie cutter or small bowl to cut 6 rounds of dough.

Cut the pancakes:

Divide the cooked ground beef onto the center of 3 dough rounds.  Then top each with an egg yolk. 

Fill the dough:

Place a second dough round on top and crimp the edges to seal.

Cover the filling: 

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet then cook flat side first for 1 to 2 minutes per side until cooked through and golden brown. 

Cook the pancake:

These are best served hot with sour cream, ketchup, or marinara for dipping! Make a large batch to freeze and heat later!
