This recipe uses basic pantry supplies like flour, sugar, salt, yeast, milk, butter, and eggs. Additionally, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cookie crumbs are needed.
Heat the milk and butter then stir in the sugar. In a stand mixer, add the flour, salt, milk mixture and an egg, then mix together. Turn to medium speed and knead for 3 minutes until elastic.
Once the dough has become elastic, stir in the cookie crumbs until they are evenly distributed in the dough. Then cover and set aside to rest for 10 minutes.
While the dough is resting, combine the cream cheese, butter, sugar, and Oreo cookie crumbs to create a rich filling.
Roll the dough into a rectangle around 1/4" thick. Spread the filling over the top, then roll into a log and slice into 9 portions. Set these aside to rest for 30 minutes.
Bake the sticky buns for 25 to 30 minutes then let cool for 10 minutes before covering with the glaze and additional cookie crumbs.
