A simple homemade crescent roll dough is stuffed with raspberry compote and cream cheese for a delicious treat!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED: Yeast, sugar, milk, flour, egg, salt, butter, raspberry, cream cheese, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
Combine the yeast, sugar, and milk and let sit until the yeast activates.
Add the salt, flour, and egg. Then stir into a dough and knead until elastic.
Let the dough rise in a warm spot for 1 hour, or until doubled in size. Punch it down and then roll it into a circle.
Cut the round of dough into 16 triangles then top with the cream cheese.
Then spread the raspberry compote over that.
Let the rolls rise for another 30-minutes then brush with eggwash. Bake as directed then serve hot!
These are perfect by themselves, but also when drizzzled with a powdered sugar glaze, or dipped into more of the cream cheese mixture!
