INGREDIENTS

8 slices bread 1/2 cup sugar 2 tbsp + 2 tsp  cinnamon 1 tbsp butter 8 sausage links 3 eggs 1/4 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp nutmeg 1 tsp allspice

STEP 1

Whisk together egg, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice then set aside.  Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin. 

STEP 2

Spread butter onto flattened bread and top with cinnamon sugar mixture. 

STEP 3

Roll the cooked sausage links inside the bread and pinch ends to seal. 

STEP 4

Dip rolls into batter then cook on griddle at medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side until crisp and golden. 

STEP 5

Serve prepared sausage stuffed French toast rolls with maple syrup or powdered sugar.
