Copycat Krispy Kreme Donut Bread Pudding Recipe

This copycat Krispy Kreme donut bread pudding with a simple homemade glaze is a great combination of two delicious treats that is sure to please everyone at your table!

Ingredients

Bread Pudding Ingredients

  • 1 dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts, stale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Vanilla Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray a 9"x13" baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. 
  2. Cut the donuts into 1" pieces and spread over the bottom of the baking dish. Cutting donuts
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy whipping cream, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well-blended. 
  4. Pour the liquid mixture over the donuts making sure every piece is coated and covered. Sliced donuts in pan
  5. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes. 
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until a thick glaze forms. 
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the top of the bread pudding while it is still warm.

Notes

If using a different type of donut, the cooking time may change. The lighter donuts cook faster in this mixture while a dense donut may require longer to cook through.
