The Best Ever Caprese Salad Recipe

Follow and easy tutorial to create the best Caprese salad recipe that is packed with flavors! A little sweet, a lot salty, and just enough tang to make it perfect in every bite!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ripe cherry tomatoes (454 gm) 
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella pearls (140 gm)
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar reduction (30 gm)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (30 gm) 
  • 1/3 cup Pesto sauce (90 gm)
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves (10 gm)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (2.5 gm)
  • 1/2 tsp fresh cracked black pepper (2.5 gm)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your tomatoes and mozzarella by slicing if needed. 
  2. Arrange the tomato and cheese on a serving platter so they are alternated. 
  3. Drizzle the top with a balsamic vinegar reduction, olive oil, and pesto sauce.  Do not coat it completely, but a light drizzle so each bite will have just a taste as an accent. 
  4. Sprinkle the top with basil leaves and a sprinkle of salt and fresh cracked black pepper. 
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 2 days in an airtight container. Caprese salad on white platter

Notes

If the pesto is too strong a flavor, you can leave it off or reduce the amount used.
