Sausage Egg Breakfast Biscuit Poppers

Whip up a batch of sausage egg breakfast poppers for a fun hand held savory breakfast that is kid-friendly and mom approved!

Ingredients

  • 8 count canned biscuits (Pilsbury Grands used)
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper then set it aside.
  2. In a small skillet, over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage for 5 to 6 minutes or until no longer pink, stirring and breaking up the sausage as it cooks.
  3. Remove the sausage from the skillet and drain off any excess grease then set the sausage aside. cooked sausage in skillet next to carton of eggs
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and black pepper until combined.
  5. Place the skillet back over medium heat, and pour the beaten eggs into the pan.
  6. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring regularly, until scrambled and cooked through.
  7. Using a rolling pin, roll out the biscuits on the baking sheet until they are flattened.
  8. Into the center of each biscuit, leaving room all around, add a spoon of cooked sausage, cooked eggs, and a sprinkle of cheese. Reserve some cheese for topping the biscuits.biscuits on white table topped with eggs sausage and cheese
  9. Fold the sides of the biscuits over the filling, pressing the edges together to form a ball.
  10. Place the ball seam side down onto the baking sheet.

  12. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until golden brown and the biscuit, is cooked through.
  13. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Air Fryer Directions

  1. Follow steps 2 to 11 as listed above.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 300°F and then place the poppers onto the air fryer basket or tray.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes, then turn if needed, and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes. Depending upon the air fryer, you may need to continue baking for 2 to 3 additional minutes to make sure the biscuit is cooked through. three round white plates topped with biscuit poppers sitting on marble table

Notes
