Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Waffles

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened (120g)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5ml)
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries (166g)
  • Ready-made waffle mix

Instructions

  1. Heat your waffle iron and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, prepare your waffle mix according to package directions, for an equivalent of 12 waffles prepared.
  3. Next, beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together in a medium bowl, until smooth.
  4. Pour 1/3 cup waffle batter on the bottom of the waffle iron. waffle batter in waffle maker
  5. Then, add a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture and a sprinkle of strawberries on top of the batter. cheesecake in middle of waffle batter
  6. Top with more batter. Then close and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the waffle iron indicates the waffle is done cooking. golden brown waffle on waffle maker

Substitute raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries in place of the strawberries if desired.
