Homemade Sanding Sugar

SUPPLIES NEEDED PER COLOR 1 cup granulated sugar 1 drop gel food coloring

FOOD PROCESSOR METHOD Place sugar and gel food coloring into food processor and pulse for 30 to 45 seconds.  

ZIPLOC BAGGIE METHOD Place sugar and gel coloring in baggie and smuch together until color is distrubted, then strain the sugar through a mesh sieve to remove lumps. 

Spread evenly onto parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 250F.  Cool for 15 minutes before use.
