Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 

Sift the dry ingredients together then whisk together the milk, vanilla, and sour cream.

Alternate adding the dry and wet ingredients along with egg whites until completely combined. 

Scoop into prepared cupcake liners and bake for 20 minutes until just done.  Set aside to cool.

While the cupcakes cool, prepare the buttercream by mixing together butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until desired consistency.  Add food coloring gel to turn pink. 

Spread or pipe icing onto cupcakes before serving!
