There is nothing as loved as a good piece of pizza. This easy pepperoni pizza tortilla wrap is inspired by the popular TikTok version that teaches how to use a large tortilla to create a delicious layered wrap that is less messy than most and super easy to customize. You will love this easy new snack idea or lunch. A perfect treat to tuck into kids’ lunchboxes, even on the busy weekday mornings!
Pepperoni Pizza Tortilla Wrap
Let’s face it – pizza ranks as one of the top 3 foods for pretty much everyone. It’s just so comforting. Sauce, cheese, toppings, it goes together perfectly and really never fails to comfort. So, any option that makes that easier to manage is definitely a hit.
This fun idea is a spin on a tortilla pizza and a wrap with folded tortilla holding in your favorite toppings. Grilled to perfection, it’s best served hot, but can be an ideal choice to tuck into the lunch box of your kids. It’s a great choice when you don’t have the time to make this tasty pizza puff snack.
What Other Toppings Can I Add?
What are your favorite pizza toppings? That’s your answer! Pepperoni is the most classic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add anything you want inside this wrap. Keep the cheese and sauce as a base, and top with anything you really enjoy on your pizza. Below are some good ideas that work well with this method.
- Cooked sausage, hamburger, anchovies, ham, bacon, or chicken.
- Bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, zucchini, or squash.
- Jalapenos, olives, pepper rings, roasted garlic, olive tapenade, or pineapple.
You can also get inspiration from some of our other pizza inspired recipes. Below are some that are good and while not as classic as most, are delicious and can easily be put inside a wrap pizza for a great upscale treat!

Can I Make This With a Whole Wheat Tortilla?
You can definitely use a whole wheat tortilla for this recipe. If a healthier or whole grain option is preferred, nothing stops you from swapping that out in this recipe. It’s super easy to use whole wheat in the same manner. You could even find the flavored tortillas and use instead. I love the idea of this made with a spinach tortilla or even the sundried tomato and garlic ones. Choose what works better for you.
What Sauces Should I Serve with Pizza Wraps?
Pizza and bread sticks are always a favorite in our house, so we always have some kind of sauce to dip them into. You may think there is plenty of sauce already inside, but trust me, when kids are around, dipping sauces are a must! Below are a few popular choices we like to prepare.
- Pizza sauce, marinara, or this homemade pasta sauce
- Ranch dip or ranch dressing
- Homemade jalapeno dip
- Creamy blue cheese dip
- Garlic butter
Can These Be Made Ahead to Freeze for Later?
Yes! While it’s already super easy to make and doesn’t take long to assemble, I love the idea of making batches to freeze. You can assemble them just to the point you would heat them through, and then wrap it in plastic wrap to seal it completely. Slide them into a large Ziploc freezer bag that has been labeled and dated.
To make them, you can unwrap and heat as directed adding a few extra minutes to the cooking time to heat everything through. You can also thaw overnight in the refrigerator and cook as directed. Of course, my kids would pop it into the microwave and heat it that way without even toasting if they are in a hurry.
Do I Need to Cut These Before Serving?
While you can cut them into strips or in half to serve with dipping sauce, I like to just wrap them in kitchen paper and serve as a single wrap. Usually, one wrap is a great all-in-one meal for a single person. A smaller tortilla would make a nice sized serving for a child. This means you don’t have to cut them, but just enjoy them as they are!
- Flour tortilla
- Italian cheese blend
- Pizza sauce
- Italian seasonings

How to Make a Pepperoni Pizza Tortilla Wrap
Fold a tortilla in half, then in half again to divide it into 4 equal quadrants.
Cut a line between two quadrants from the center to the edge so you have a single slit in the tortilla.
Add toppings to each section. One with sauce, one with pepperoni, and two with cheese. Add Italian seasoning if desired.
Then add pepperoni to one or two of the sections.
Fold the bottom sauce portion over the top cheese and pepperoni.
Then fold that over to cover the second sauce.
And finally, fold over to cover the last cheese, creating a triangle wrap.
Heat a panini press, griddle, or skillet on medium heat.
Place the folded wrap onto the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes per side to desired crispness and a light brown.
Serve with additional sauce if desired.
If you don’t have a panini press, you can also use a waffle maker to cook this wrap. Pop into a heated waffle iron and cook for 2-3 minutes then remove and serve. Just be careful about extra sauce and cheese from oozing out the side of the pan.
- 4 10" flour tortillas
- 24 pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded Italian blend cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
